Women Game Jam

A «Game Jam» is a game development marathon where participants are challenged to design and create a digital or analog game using the theme proposed on the first day of the event. All in a limited time!

The difference is that the Women Game Jam focuses on cis women, trans women and non-binary people, and is a non-competitive event, which creates a more comfortable and supportive environment for learning, portfolio creation, sharing of experiences between newcomers and veterans of the industry and most importantly, the strengthening of the female game development community.

TEENS Vocational Workshops

The TEENS Vocational Workshops are a set of micro workshops focused on training girls between the ages of 14 and 18 on the different areas within video game development with the intention of presenting these jobs as professional careers that they can one day follow.

The workshops consist of classes taught by women and non-binary people, and include classes on Programming, 2D Art, 3D Art, Game Design, Audio, Narrative and Production.

Design Workshop: From Computer to Paper

The design workshop is focused on those women who want to learn from scratch to design their own games. Teaching from the basics of design to creating a prototype on paper to put what has been learned into practice.

In 2019 we held the first edition of this workshop where 15 women between 18-60 years old participated. Thanks to the Goethe Institut, who gave us their space and to Bamtang Game Studios, who offered a panel of excellent female developers telling us about their experience in the industry.

Programming Workshops for Girls

The girls' programming workshop is an introductory course that seeks to foster interest in programming from an early age. With this workshop we seek to encourage more girls to want to delve into the field in a safe, and friendly environment that gives them the confidence to learn something new and even acquire a new passion.

Our workshop usually lasts 3-4 hours, and we usually divide it into 1-2 days so that the girls can learn the basics and create a small prototype using tools like Unity or Scratch.
